The Mysterious Disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley

The Mysterious Disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley

When the Bradley family boarded the cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas on March 21, 1998, they were excited for a relaxing family vacation. But just two days later, their 23-year-old daughter, Amy Lynn Bradley, vanished without a trace.

Amy had spent the evening dancing at the ship’s nightclub with her brother before returning to the family’s stateroom. Later that night, her father, Ron Bradley, saw her sitting on the balcony of their cabin. When he checked again a short time later, Amy was gone.

As the morning passed and Amy still hadn’t returned, the family grew increasingly worried. They immediately alerted the ship’s crew and begged them not to allow passengers to leave the ship at the next port in Curaçao until a full search could be conducted. Despite their pleas, the ship docked and passengers were allowed to disembark.

Amy was never found.

Over the years, several possible sightings of Amy Lynn Bradley have been reported across the Caribbean. Some tourists claimed they saw a woman who looked like her on a beach in 1998. In 1999, a U.S. Navy sailor said he met a woman in a brothel who identified herself as Amy and asked for help, though he didn’t report the encounter at the time.

The most disturbing development came in 2005, when Amy’s family received an anonymous email containing photos of a woman known as “Jas,” a sex worker who closely resembled Amy. Her mother said the woman in the picture looked like a “harsh and tormented” version of her daughter.

To this day, Amy Lynn Bradley’s disappearance remains unsolved. Her parents still believe that someone saw Amy on the ship and kidnapped her, taking her away before anyone realized what had happened.
