The story follows Gosuyame Tharma Sethol, a South African woman who went to the hospital for a pregnancy scan expecting to have a single baby. However, the scans revealed that she was carrying eight fetuses, making her a potential record-breaker. Gosuyame and her husband, Teboho, were initially overwhelmed but excited about the prospect of having more children. 

However, Gosuyame had concerns about how all eight children would survive in her womb and the potential health complications. She was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and placed on a specific diet to ensure her children's health. Gosuyame also expressed worries about the risks of having a large number of babies and prematurely, leading to many sleepless nights. During her pregnancy, Gosuyame experienced severe leg pains and difficulty walking, leading her to believe that something might go wrong. She went into labor after 29 weeks of gestation and gave birth to ten children through a cesarean section. However, doctors discovered that one of the children was not exactly a baby but an underdeveloped fetus. Despite this unexpected turn of events, Teboho expressed gratitude and belief that their family was chosen by God for this miracle.

However, the authenticity of the story is questioned as no concrete evidence has been provided, and the couple's previous claims of having given birth to nine children are also brought into question. Meanwhile, another woman, Halima from Mali, holds the world record for giving birth to the most children to survive a single birth, with a total of nine. Halima's story is confirmed, and she and her husband, Qadhar, received support from the government and medical professionals to ensure the survival of their children. The authenticity of Gosiyame and Teboho's story remains uncertain.
