Man Walks 20 Miles To Work Until One Day Cop Follows Him And Sees Why

We learn about Walter, a young man who walks 20 miles to work every day after his car breaks down. Determined to support his mother and keep their home, Walter sets out on foot each night, despite the immense physical challenge.

One day, a cop follows him and eventually offers him a ride, impressed by his determination. Walter had moved to Homewood, Alabama, after his home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, and he had secured a job at a moving company but was unable to make it to work due to his car's failure. With no other options, Walter began his nightly trek, pushing himself to reach the job site on time. The cop's intervention not only saved Walter time but also led to a surprising outcome when he arrived at the job site and was praised for his dedication.

Walter, a new employee of moving company Bellhops, walks 20 miles from Homewood to Pelham after his car broke down the previous evening. Determined to get to work on his first day, Walter started walking at midnight and continued until a police officer found him the next morning. Moved by Walter's dedication, Jenny, the Neeson family, started a GoFundMe campaign to help repair his car. The campaign exceeded its target of $2,000, raising a total of $32,000. Bellhops CEO Luke Märklin was inspired by Walter's story and surprised him with a new car. The community rallied behind Walter, and his story inspired thousands, leading to a hashtag movement titled "Be Like Walter." Walter remains humble and aspires to become a Marine.
